Bilingualism is increasingly widespread in education systems around the world. Being an educational setup, it is a strong mandate of Ruhan Nexus to offer the best Bilingual Education possible to local children and youths. A large body of research has shown that, as compared to its monolingual counterpart, the bilingual mind is more connected, nimble and creative. Since the power of language acquisition is also strongest in one’s formative years, Ruhan Nexus shall ensure that every student become proficient and confident in English and Chinese, along with the passion and abilities to continue mastering these languages beyond 18 years of age.
The Student Care section of Ruhan Nexus enrols mainly primary school students, who are highly mouldable and very capable of absorbing language in ways that it is presented to them. Modelling the use of good language in speech and writing is of cardinal importance in our classrooms. Both English and Chinese tuition will focus on strong learning content in grammar and vocabulary, coupled with challenging questions for further knowledge and application. Three out of our 5 enrichment certificate courses involve rigorous language training packaged with loads of amusement and amazement – Phonics for accurate speech and correct spelling, and Literature in both languages. Students will need to study Literature at least in their first language and up till 18 years of age, if a society of sustained and critical readers with good communication skills is desired.
